Sorry I havent posted in a while how is everyone???

Also what are some good starter fish but RARE fish??
 
seems a bit light on rock for an african tank.

lol sorry about that I was answering another thread and it somehow ended up on here...

Rare fish are usually rare for a reason and they almost NEVER make good starter fish. however bay snooks are fairly uncommon and easy to care for.
 
well if you have a large tank then bay snooks are good. i think hemichromis elongatus are good even though their african
 
Cichlasoma bocourti are rare in the hobby and aren't that hard to take care of. Great fish as well my father used to keep them. They grow to about 10 inches. Get nice rusty colored stripes with green and speckles of dark green. Really neat lookin fish.

They are awesome fish, very hard to get over here.
 
True Green terrors, not the saum. Red Tiger Motas are kinda rare . . . the Honduran Managuenses is rare, it's like the hondurian red point is to a regular convict. I don't know what else . . .

Yes they are. Finally someone knows what they are. lol. My fathers last one just died a few months back in December. He was pushing 12 inches. Very dark red stripes and bright blue fins. They kind of lose that green as they mature which is ashame because it's really nice. I'm thinking on buying some off of aquabid.com to put in my 125 comming.:headbang2
 
I would suggest festivums. I havent seen one for a few years so there rare in mass.
