I'm wanting to add some HID lights to my Ford F150. I'm a little confused at the extremely cheap prices on Ebay and the outrageous prices on various truck accessory websites.

I found a "Bi-Xenon" kit for around $100 on ebay. Other sites are $400-600.

My headlights are a single bulb with 2 stages(hi/low beam) 9007 is the actual bulb. I'm also thinking of purchasing another kit for my fog lights which are 9145 bulbs.

Does anyone have any previous experience with HID conversion kits and could you list any do's and don'ts or pros and cons. Or better brands and where to get them.

Hid don't have a hi and low. You want a hit that moves a cover over the hid light so you don't blind every one.

I've been using HID kits since they first came out and cost and prices were sky high. Prices have come down a lot. I recommend the kits from these guys: http://www.ddmtuning.com/Product-Categories/HID-Kits-Lighting/HID-Kits

Great prices, great kits, and fast shipping. Me personally, I like 6,000k or less. Anything higher and you get that cheesy ugly blue color with diminished light output. On my truck, I have 5000k in the headlights and 3000k in the driving lights. Great color combo and really nice output.

Yeah they do. The H4 bulb for example, that has high/low in one bulb, comes in high/low as an option in most HID kits. DDM tuning charges an extra $20 for the high/low option.

Jose, im lost as to what hid is, metal halide? these are the kits that produce "true" white light and help out with us that have a hard time seeing at night?

HID is 'high intensity discharge' lighting. Basically metal halide lighting that uses Xenon gas. That's why many people call them 'xenon' lights. It's the white/purplish lights you see that come stock on higher end cars like Mercedes, BMW, Acura, Lexus, etc etc.

+1 for DDM Tuning, although I only have experience with them on my motorcycle. And yes, you can get a high/low combo. 6000k gives you nice output without the yellow.
