hidding new fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I had a pleco dissapear for 4 months! My tank is highly decorated so he had 10000 places to hide. I lost an African cichlid idk what type (he was white) he was in the select tank for clearance. So I brought him home and he went under the one cave and he dissapeared for 3 months! He came out double the size! If not triple. I only got him because my tank at the time was suited for an African cichlid and it was the coolest looking fish ever. He went in at like 1" and came out at like 2.5"! He was awesome though! I'll try to find out what species he was

Not me personally but a good friend had a peacock eel dissapear for about 8 months then re-appeared one day and then was never found again even after he moves house and emptied the tank...

So we came to the conclution that it must have gotten out a small hole where the filter inlets are and straight out my friends apartmen window...

I've had horseface loaches disappear for years.one liked to sit buried in the gravel with just his head sticking out. first time I saw that, I thought that was all that was left of him. we both were surprised when I tried to pick the remains off the gravel. out of 5, that one was the only one we ever saw.
banjo cats are just as likely to hide, but are lazy about it. they don't care if they stick out of the sand. they must come from an area with dark sand. I had them in white and I'd see them with a little bit of sand sprinkled over them like salt on burnt fries.

Before i setup my 420 there was a couch right next to my 210 , when i moved the couch to setup the 420 i found 2 cory cats and a clown loach all dried up. Don't know how they could have gotten out as i have glass tops on it.

My featherfin syno. When he was small Hid on me until I had to rip my tank apart to find him. And realized he was suck in a decoration. Dk how he managed that :what:
