hides for arboreal lizards.

Just wondering what people use for hides for there arboreal reps. I'm considering giving the monitors a new hide but I'm kinda stumped on how to make it. I want to give them a raised one off the ground.

Anyone have any ideas? Pics would be great as well.

Two words: Cork Tubes.

Yeah I'm trying to find a good place to buy some from. But I haven't had any luck

I usually find them fairly cheap at shows. A reptile shop near me carries them but they're pretty expensive.

Yeah I got to start looking for shows around me. I will keep poking around online when I get home tonight.

I would just put in a bunch of greenery that they can hide behind.

yeah man, cork tubes and any big strong foliage you can put in the corners. You can either hang tubes from the top, or wedge them in using other tubes and branches from the floor.

if you cant find any cork for a good price you could always use PVC piping and cover it up with foliage

I was thinking about pvc. I might run to home depot this weekend and see what I can come up with

If you do basking shelves it's an easy addition to add a hidebox to the shelf. Just another idea to throw out there.
