I got my flowerhorn 6 days ago. He was doing great from the start. Swimming like crazy, eating well, even eating out of my hand. 2 nights ago I noticed he had Ich starting. So I did a water change and raised the temp. He was looking better and still active and eating. Around 2 am I noticed he was hiding behind the rock in his tank, I assume he was sleeping. He is still behind the rock, not coming out much, only to eat, and he has dark vertical lines appearing on him. What is this from and what can I do to help him? I appreciate everybodys help over the last few days !

Looks stressed just keep up the treatment with the heat and even add aquarium salt. If FH is still eating thats good.

Keep the lights off. Keep the temp at 87 degrees and add Aquarium salt. Keep the salt and temp high for at least 10 days. No medications are needed just yet. Also do gravel cleanings every other day to help rid the tank of the ich parasite. How is the tanks filtration and PH?
