39watt 36" T5 Average Lumen Output: 3290

300led 5meter strip puts out 3.4lumen per led, or 65 lumen per foot, pending how you space it. Call me stupid, but according to my calcs ( i hate math) the 5 meter strip would be 1020lumens. So not even 15 meters will match the lumen output of a T5HO. I couldnt find info on just a t5.

BUT there is a x3 led strip out there that puts out 17.1lumen PER watt. 325lumen per foot or 5,610 lumens for the entire 5 meter strip...Now THAT would be something to aim for......

SMD 5050are a lot brighter than the SMD 3528 but even at that a 5 m strip of SMD 5050s still needs about 70W. So per Watt a T5 is more efficient

This is what I went with. So far I only installed one in the stand when I do maintenance. It's really bright. I will be installing 4 more when I build the canopy in the next coming weeks. They come in T5 or T8 sizes and different lengths. It's also pretty cool to the touch.

5ft - T8 360 pcs super bright SMD 3528, AC 90-250V, 20w, 1.5m, 2180-2280 lumens fluorescent LED Tube

I hope u didnt pay that price!

Iv been looking at those for years, the only thing that keeps stopping me is the lumen output vs the reg t8.

Even the 4ft t5 is 520lm. A 13watt spiral has more lumens for only $3

ooo on ebay i found a 4' t8 20watt 2159LM. getting better getting better. I can go from 64 watts to 40 :)
