Best price I have ever seen these for was on aquabid a couple months ago for 140 + shipping(not sure the price of shipping a large plec). Got mine from a buddy who does the importing for a large store for a good deal. Average price for these guys seems to be in the 200s at 8+ inches.

funny, I handle tarantulas and snakes and such but holding a big pleco back in the day scared the crap outa me lol. Wonder why, too many pokey things lol.

As you can see from my avatar, I love snakes as well, but they don't draw blood just by holding them - this guy does. LOL
