Yeah, it's best to either use a product like R/O Right or just cut the R/O water with a small amount of normal tap water to add back some mineral/salt content to the water. Even fish that like very soft water need more than just pure water. Also, adding a little crushed coral to the substrate or filter can help buffer very soft water
