Yes, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to try to sell my dovii in someone's thread about dovii.
Whatever.....

His point was a joke that his is high priced if it's for sale. I see what you're saying but it was a joke. ;)

It was more of just a joke... I bet no one on here will jump on a $1,000 cichla! :)

Given enough hype, I'm sure that someone would. Some people have to have the newest and greatest and are willing to do anything (think camping for days outside Best Buy to get a PS3, etc) to get it.

Very true. Hype is what sells something whether it's from the seller or the people interested.

as long as your not leading on that your selling a wild fish and it's actually farm bred than you aren't ripping people off. I don't see what the problem is here. The fact is a fish is worth what people will pay for it. Not what you think it should be, or what you can get it for!! some of us rarely see these kinds of fish!!!

Ya, I guess ignorance is bliss when selling common fish! :)

No problem at all. Just weird that prices for farms are up to the same price you can get wilds for if you hold out.

At my LFS they have farm bred Ocellaris they said $40.00 for each. I know a guy that works there I asked him to mark it down to $10 each and He said OK and I got 2 lol.

thats just it. these aren't common to everyone. Just because they are readily available to you doesn't make them common to everyone.
