i too am a junior at a private school this year, although we dont have to pick a major like you have to and we aren't taking standardized tests for a while yet. i just plan on trying to do my best and try not to get worked up about standardized testing and taking acts, when i do get worked up and dont relax i seem to not do as well

the standardized tests have a section for picking out majors and stuff...
PSATs and SATs...

as for school now, we can sort of figure out majors. im taking all the science courses i can.

but what i was saying before is, these things want specific majors, almost like what sort of jobs we want. all i know is that i like science. what kind, remains to be determined.

B+ isnt good for me... Ive had an A or A- throughout highschool so far and i wanna try to keep that. sorry to sound like that but...
also, yeah i need a gf too. havent had one in almost 2 years now. just cant find one...

damn, where are you?

B+ isnt good I see you use the asian grading scale too.(I dont try very hard tho.. probably should got a b+ in english and bombed my bio accel test 220 question an hour and a half not fun) man go for it straight A's and 2400 SAT I know several people who got 2400.

im reading this cause im gonna be a sophomore but thats what id try to do.

you can get early admition if you are good and then you can relax your senior year.

I dont know man just relax my dads grades werent the best but he still whent to ivy league with a scholarship.

I used to find it strange that people dont know what they want to do ive known since I was like 4 always been going for the same thing (biology)

if you like fish try that you can spend the rest of your life doing what you like or you could even be researcher I know a couple of plasma physicist that dont even bother showing up for work cause all they have to do is research.

i wanted to be a marine biologist my whole life, till freshman year. then i saw that they get less than crap pay. ill find something that can balance out passion with money...

I am a bio-marine and about to pick up environmental science and policy for a double major (as its only 6 extra classes) and I can gurantee that anywhere I plan to go for a job isn't going to pay much... enough to survive and have a small amount of extra cash but thats about it, but I go for it anyways for passion in what I want to do and I would rather love my job and get paid not so great then hate my job. As for what you pick just bs it on the test it wont matter anyways its not permeant or anything. You can still switch majors in college as much as you want so long as your not failing required classes for that area when you are in college and get accepted into that college. People change majors all the time so just put something down its not going to matter.

As for handling all that just keep doing what you have been doing, work hard and you'll be fine. There is nothing wrong with wanting the grades you want and good for you, but just know it all gets wiped out when you go to a University anyways... you start all over and your GPA and grades won't count on your University transcrpits.

lol i went to a private school.. had loads on my plate too... the only thing you should do is keep a diary/organiser. make sure you pen in all your dates, everything you have to do. thats what i did. juggle your time VERY carefully. i excelled in all my grades at high school.. but it involved not having much of a social life and not much sleep... yeah it was tough but i got the grades i wanted.. at uni i got my social life back and when there's pressure i don't mind because i've been through it all before so its easy for me.

all i can say is keep on telling youself that you go through these periods in life.. and at each stage you make friends.. you lose them.. make sure you stick to your schedule and worry about yourself. its tough but you'll be fine if you do that.

make the smart kids do your homework so your left with alot of free time:ROFL:

All i have to say is that at this time in your life your college major is irrelevant. You can switch all you want in college. And its likely going to take some exposure to the material and classes before you are sure of what you want to do. They force it down your throat way too much in high school. Worry about high school now, worry about college when you are in college.
