High Shine Arowana's Surgical Procedure (PIC LOAD WARNING!!!)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wow, nice save mate

your silver aro is impressive in size indeed. how old did you have him for?

Great to hear everything worked out.. i had a pacu that swallowed a big hunk of plastic.. it went through the digestive system and lodged half in and half out of the anus.. had to intervene at that point.. and pulled it out slowly.. that was a total success... but i remember it was an ordeal taking the huge fish out... and doing it in time enough to get it back into the water so it could breathe..

hahaha.. I completely missed this thread! AMAZING save and thanks for sharing. this is something you probably would never see if it weren't for this thread!

how is your borneo python eel doing?

Thanks. The eel is doing well...not growing too much more though. How's yours?

I also missed it somehow but it was a good read with a great outcome...I have a co worker who had an aro swallow a part of the filter intake strainer.

Their mouths are huge! After this incident, I don't put anything by them.

I've had him a guess a couple+ years now. He was decently sizeable when I got him though. I think he may have been a year/year and a half old when I got him?

Thanks Liz. Yea...I wanted to wait to see if he would pass it...But I thought no way! I couldn't risk it.

Wow true love for fishkeeping amazing!

Indeed. Thanks mate!

I would love to have the chance to xray a fish like that, those were so cool. Do you mind if I printed out the xrays to show the students I teach?
