I did want a Black Aro but now I think I'll be happy with this guy. I think the high shine Aro's are even rarer then the Blacks.

why not just get both :D

i have a black and a high shine =D

Just keep checking regular silver aro from LFS and some 1 or 2 high shine silver will pop out. You just need a good eye to check them out as some regular silver when stressed out can look really white or keep in lighter background or with way too much white light. However you can tell them apart from regular silver when you look at the barbels and fins. The barbel's membrane should be white and NOT dark blueish green, Also the pectoral fins should not show any reddish pink color on the tip. The back should also show a light silvery shade or close to white. The shine color should also look silvery white and not silvery green that's seen in regular silver.

i got mines from indonesia same price as regular silver

May I inquire, how much the total came to? I'm curious what the shipping rate ended up being. I've seen some fish (NO NOT AAs, so don't close it Anne) I'm interested in but have been torn between getting direct from the breeder or have them ordered by local fish importer because of the shipping costs.

Its just a gimmick to jack up the price...not unlike "king royal marbled blah blah motoros". They grow and look just like any other silver aro.
ummmm nope

have you seen one I have and it most certainly does not end up lookin like any other silver I can assure you of that. It truly does almost look platinum look for the thread with one on mfk

as an aside

I saw this baby at the store and he seemed to lack the brownish tinge to its fins and instead had a black rim on the finnage and down the side of its body a black streak will have to see what it comes out like
