My 10g Quarantine Tank (With a Delhezi Bichir) has a stress level that is almost at danger. I need to know how to lower it in 1-3 days, as by Friday this week he should be moved to my 70g tank. I want to lower the Stress Levels to normal again before i move him, as im not sure if he can bring the high stress with him, and give the other fish stress that i will be getting...

All the other levels are near perfect, all except the stress... need to know what to do..?

I have both Aquarium Salt and API Stress Coat, if those can do anything...

Huh? What stress are you talking about that would contaminate other fish? Stress is a psychological disorder that does not really affect other fish unless everyone undergoes the conditions that could stress everyone equally.

What exactly are the parameters?
Does your tank have refuge for the bichir?

Never had a stress problem before, sorry if i sound a bit stupid lol.. just wondering if like the fish would sence his stress and get a little stressed as well. There is a cave in there right now, but he never enters it, he hides behidn it, but not in it.

I had a bamboo tube in my 70g for him, but someone told me bamboo would make the water toxic, so i removed it. Now there is a rock cave i made and a clear tub im going to wrap some old fishing net around so its not completely transparent.

I have some cheap old test kit from PS right now but it basically says Nitrates are as safe as they can be, Water is just between Soft & Hard, Chlorine is completely safe, Alkilidity is Ideal, and and Ph is neutral. Nitrites are in the stress zone though...

How to lower?

Water changes. Please get API liquid kit and retest to be sure.

should i just put him in my 70g? Its only cycled for a week, but ive been adding Seachem Stability to it ever since i put water in it., and all the levels test perfect, according to those strips...

I'd test the water in 70g with a new kit. Is he the only fish going there? If so, then a 70g is better than the 10g.
