High tech 40b progression

Definitely been busy with the spring upon us! Lucky if I get a weekly wc in let alone every other day fertz! But somehow its still going strong, in need of pruning but the king of the castle 'aka striolatus piranha' enjoys the thick foliage as a dim/comfortable spot, especially to ambush a tasty guppy!

Hope you enjoy and sorry I've been MIA for awhile!

ha, that crypt is now bigger than the lace plant :P

I like the overgrown jungle vib happening now

Yea its big! I did some serious pruning tonight and cut away some deadish leaves, and re planted the crypt 'runners' (sounds like a gang) on the other side of the aquarium. uploadfromtaptalk1398400506213.jpg

Very large leafs!uploadfromtaptalk1398400479417.jpguploadfromtaptalk1398400490880.jpg

2 new leaves have grown on my lace leaf so I cut all the old ones off, added seachem root tabs a week or so ago and boy does that help! Guess my eco complete sub isn't complete any more? My lace should have no problem growing like a weed again.

My fishy definitely appreciates the overgrown swords and 'palm tree' plant, great cover for an ambush predator!uploadfromtaptalk1398400562716.jpg

All in all this was to benefit my Striolatus Piranha-aka-my prized possession, plants come second but together they make one hell of a habitat, all this considering 'piranhas vs plants,' guess I found the right combo cuz my red belly piranha shred everything!

Any other advice or suggestions?! As you have been part of this procurement so you've seen that I plant in the moment not realizing they may actually grow...... so its nice to have a member to tell me foreground/middle/background etc!

Regulator acting funky again, not sure if its the solenoid, regulator itself or what so decided to Buck up and spend 200$ on a GLA REG which from what I can tell is nice. Its not their best model but it will do. Anyone have this one? Or experience with GLA regs?
uploadfromtaptalk1398900084955.jpgseems to have all the bells and whistles

Been using the primo for almost a year and love it. They also have some of the best customer service I have ever dealt with.

Almost the same! I'm loving these bubble counters plus ive heard the needle valve, solenoid and check valves are great!

Those are single stage regulators right? I'm not familiar with them but is end of the tank dump an issue, or is that just with the cheap single stage regulators?

GLA makes some nice stuff, although it is pretty damn pricey :S

there's a low pressure and high pressure side (hence the 2 gauges) if you see the middle valve converts the high pressure to low and then the needle valve tweaks it and with 2 clippard check valves and Fabco needle valve its definitely a impressive piece of equipment, was a bit pricey but for such good quality parts you cannot go wrong! Absolutely no end of tank dump. Once the liquid co2 is used up the remaining gaseous state of co2 doesnt have enough psi to pass the high side of the reg. Cheap regs with cheap parts will usually result in end of tank dump but a good needle valve can greatly reduce this.

The only true dual stage body reg gla has is almost 500$ and crazy awesome but unless your running multiple big high tech tanks its not exactly needed.http://greenleafaquariums.com/co2-regulators/ultimate-dual-stage-regulator.html

This is a single high pressure with no low side http://greenleafaquariums.com/co2-regulators/atomic-paintball-co2-regulator-v2.html unless you have a good needle valve your almost always looking at end of tank dump
