I have a out break of ich in my 200 gallon tank. I have live plants in there too. Its currently stocked with a 18" florida gar, 2 10" oscars, 1 10" ck 1 7" albino channel cat, and a 4" walking perch. I was wondering with all the fish in the tank what would be the highest temp I could increase it to in order to kill the ich. I dont really wanna put salt in the tank cuz i might kill theplants. I currently have a decent sized amazon sword in the 200 which is too big for those $5 homedepot buckets.

Plant damage is only temporary. Use the salt and be sure to dissolve it thoroughly and add slowly to avoid osmotic shock. Keep the temperature at 86 degrees Fahrenheit or as igh as the fish can tolerate and maximize surface agitation for oxygen levels.
