Pacu are egg scatterers and not unlike tetras or silver dollars (characins of course) in many ways. I have breed them by artificially hand stripping dry eggs & milt into a glass bowl and also breed by induced spawning semi-naturally in a small above ground pool (10,000L).

Yes. I believe stripping them of the eggs is a much easier way to make babies. But fishdance, have you ever seen any Pacu's in retail shops in Oz? I've never seen any in my state. Probably banned. Koi are aswell.
