Hiiii!!! i need some advice!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thanks for your advice tho one person has said the front would be to big in that tank, i can get an upgradeif need be, how many fish am i looking at in that capacity excluding the frontosa, were just talking malawis, but think that the frontosa is like the 1st fish in there,
how many could i addd, im not sayingill start with the front, but just saying how many malawis eventually with the frontosa allready in there? and what should i start with?i was thinking a couple of red empress juvs..

also i have a 13inch sailfin plec, would he take to the ph of 8? and would the malawis be ok with him?

at work we setup a malawi display and we have 3 rusty plecs in there (loric violet) and a common monster :)

Sailfin would be fine.

You really need to narrow down your choices or at least get some names in order to find out what's compatible or not.
I don't think there's too much of a difference in the water Tangs and Malawi's need to be kept as long as the water's high and pH and HARD.
A plec would be fine in the tank though they are incredible waste producers.

After getting some names, scientific names would be most helpful though mislabelled fish at shops are quite common so in those instances common names can help, you can narrow down your choices and get a real list going.

Ive had best results dumping mbuna all in at once.after they get used to each other any new fish gets beat up by all.

yah I had alot of prob. when I introduced new fish from the original 4 that I had, untill finally I got a fish that was a great deal bigger then them... the issues were solved...

Fronts are very docile fish. What ever else you go with, it needs to be slow moving and non-aggresive. Also, fronts like to be in schools of 6 or more (fronts). With one front in that tank, it will rarely come out. The best case senario is a tank full of fronts by themselves with bushnose pleco's (they only come out at night). I've heard of clown loaches mixing OK with them but I've never tried myself. Good luck with what ever mix you chose.
