Hikari Cichlid Gold Sinking pellets... Who uses them?

i ordered some from drsfostersmith but they came in really hard because all of the air inside the bag seems to have been vaccumed out or something.

is this normal?


since other hikari cichlid bags have a little air in them so you can hear the pellets rattle if you shake them. not this one...

im still on my first bag.
and i have had it for a month now, the only one eating them is my CAE

It only came out a couple months ago... making it new on the market.

Cichlid gold is a great food,and most of my fish absolutly LOVE it. but the problem im having is it smells AWFUL.
Might have something to do with me using like half a bag at once though.

Not interested in cichlid gold. I have been using that for years. The new sinking cichlid gold is meant for bottom dwelling fish.

Umm.... Iv'e been using these sinking pellets for 7 or 8 months.

My Vieja, Pike, Silver Dollars love them.

I would think they would name it sinking gold for bottom dwellers.

Unless there is a cichlid that is a bottom dweller.

Nevertheless my fish & turtles love the alqae wafers.... can't keep enough of them here.

I'm using sinking gold,my geos wasn't that fussed at first,not a good sign when you bought a big bag,but my BGK loves em,the geos finally came round to my way of thinking and they all love it now...

So it sounds like this stuff is like the original gold, and is eventually taken by most fish.
