Hello,
I am looking to try the Hikari Cichlid Gold Sinking pellets. Anybody ever try a bag of this? What did you feed and how does it effect the water quality?

Its time to try some new foods..... the Hikari Massivore is way to smelly for the wife and i agree. I open the bag and our whole apartment stinks like rotten fish..... Ive also tryed the NLS Sinking and its rock hard and not easy for my fish to eat. It also makes the water super cloudy and nasty so ive got a whole jar that i am not going to use. And the shrimp pellets seem to disolve before they hit the water! Turns my water into a dirty toilet bowl

If anyone has any experience with this please post.

and its realitivly cheap

Cons Once its hits the bottom never destine to be found
but depends on tank setup.
Ive got a sand bottom with loaches, nothing gets lost:D. It also comes in diffrent sizes...Im wondering about how well the pellet holds up once in the tank and if your fish love it or not.....

.... but would you recommend it? Whats the pros and cons and what do you feed it to??
pro all fish love it I feed it to 1 catfish, 3bichir, EBJD and 3 clown loach...
cons idk

My fish love it. I also feed nls pellet and its about the same when it comes to making a mess. The only reason I bought the nls is that the sinking hikari is hard to find around me.

I haven't had any problems with water quality. It sounds like no pellet would go to waste in your tank so I don't think you'd have problems.
