hikari or NLS? whats better

I'm a believer in Ken's foods. I have used Hikari and I really like it, I plan on trying NLS in the near future as well. It will be hard to get me to change from Ken's though, his prices are amazing.

Just read my earlier reply and I now have to change my answer. I switched to NLS a few months ago and I couldn't be happier. My fish look better than ever and they are growing like weeds. I still like Ken's flake food but for pellets I am now a believer in NLS.

No seriously I voted NLS. I used to use exclusively Ken's pellets but now I use a combo of both Ken's and NLS....primarily because I still have some Ken's pellets left. I feed the NLS about 75% of the time and Ken's 25%.

I save some money by going to the asian market and buying frozen calamari rings, frozen shrimp and freeze dried shrimp to supplement all my big eaters.
This saves me money on the bags of massivore and cichlid pellets.
Also provides a great diet for all.

Lots of these threads out there. Just avoid crap ingredients, corn, feather meal, by products and non-fish protein ingredients (for the protein source...aka poultry and stuff)
I would also avoid any food that has wheat in the first few ingredients.

But yeah, its personal preferences.

I feed nls to my fish because it's what my dad buys.

I always bought Hikari because tha's what I was told was the best food, but reading evryone's replies I will try NLS and Ken's also!!!
