Viktor switched to NLS, not to corn sticks. ;)

Ooops...

Except for the fly larvae...way down the list...this ^ sounds like something better suited to use for breading fish before frying them, as opposed to feeding them with it...

I see your point about the use of the term "adequate". I hear that and assume "adequate to provide all necessary ingredients to promote health and long life" whereas you are likely more correct in interpreting that as "adequate to keep your critter from starving to death immediately". Point taken. :)

No worries, here's a little blast from the past that y'all might find, umm, interesting.

What food brings out the best color in your fish? | MonsterFishKeepers.com

As you can see, Sonny's web page was discussed in that old topic as well. Some of that info is based on very old school methods, and was outdated news, 10 yrs ago. lol

One thing not often mentioned, is UV rays from natural sunshine. Take a look at some of the feral midas in the florida canals, they ain't eating NLS, or NF, or Asian fish food jacked up with carophyll red.

Yes, that old thread had some funny spots in it, and pretty much the same info as I am posting 10 yrs later regarding lower cost ingredients. Some folks cant seem to see the forest, for the trees.

Lol, that was a lot of fun. The way I read MFK...i.e., log on at random times for a few minutes, look at the New Posts section, maybe reply here or there, and then leave...I miss a lot of stuff like this unless a thread gets brought back to the top by somebody and then a link appears. I was lucky to find this!

It's too bad that we no longer hear about the continuing adventures of Doogie Hawser and his girlfriend, Miss Information...:)

Lol, yes, I've just read through all that post. You should be on tele RD. RD. Your comic timing and delivery was excellent throughout, a masterclass in how to shut up hecklers, lol.

Your comment that you could grind up your work boots and sell it as having a crude protein content was nothing short of genius. I laughed that hard my missus was concerned I was choking!

Unfortunately I see that "raideranch" is no longer with us, they left in 2016. What a shame, lol.
