Hill stream loach tankmates?

The issue at hand here is if hillstream loaches are target of bullying, not who can survive with them

I've already explained the plecos are fine but the issue is food competition. Anything that likes algae than anything else should not be kept with hillstreams for the very reason that algae is the primary diet of hillstream loaches. The others made good suggestions for you.

I have two in my tank with a few exotic plecos and they seem to be doing just fine. Just make sure you get some algae pellets and you will be fine.
