I would say skip the show but go noodling. My best friend and neighbor both were on the show a while back. Way too much B.S. and scripting.
Exactly why I don't like it from a noodler you can tell its fake and not the same mudcats is too but not as bad and I like how after the weigh in they put them in a giant tank for a while

I can see why. I tried it yesterday in my uncle's pond. We were moving my 3' rtc and 3.5' tsn into his indoor pond for the winter. I wasn't expecting the strength of the rtc. It pulled me under at the first bite. The tsn didn't give as much of a fight. But stuck me in the arm with the spike in it fin.

Yeah try it with a 50 pound plus fish or hell a 80 pounder most the people that die are inexperienced and go alone can't stress enough NEVER go alone I would be dead if I was alone multiple times post some pictures of the bite from the rtc

Yeah after that I wouldn't try it alone either the rtc started to pull me further into the cave. It was roughly 30 lbs maybe less. I should have weighted it. I know the tsn was 20 lbs . That first bite was the scariest part though while i was searching the pond my heart was pounding lol.
I wish I would've checked this yesterday I would've posted fresh pics. You can barely see it now but you can see mark it left from biting on my middle, ring n pinky fingers its a around my knuckles. My hand was mostly red at first it didn't really do much damage cause once it had a good hold I grabbed it by the Gill plates and pulled it out of the water. I did get smacked in the fact real hard witch completely inexpected.

Yeah bama is where I do it and yeah they scarred up pretty good people are always asking what the hell happened to my arm and I tell.them a catfish and they are like wtf Hahaha but yeah that's how I got the nickname catfish Haha and yeah there are gators in our lake in bama and ive caught alligator snapping turtles over 50 pounds and seen even bigger ones and we have a lot of cotton mouths there too
