I just revamped my pond, and I have a section with very high flow rates. I was wondering if a hillstream loach or two would work there. The temp could get up to 90f on a hot day, and the pond if it doesn't move may skin over a little in the winter. would this work? also, see my thread about tannic acid if you have anything about water quality.

Hillstream loaches do not fair well in high temps like that. I would not recommend keeping them in your pond.

thought so. i was hoping the high flow would compensate, but I guess i'll have to have them inside.

They are also very sensitive to water quality.
