So I bought a Flowerhorn about 4-5 months ago injured. It was with a female and she got the best of him. He's been healing slowly back to health but he's breeding with my super red Texas female and she literally almost killed him. He's swimming fine but not acting the same he stopped eating and I put him in a hospital tote. I don't know if this kok will ever be the same if he pulls through.

First pic is the female

Second pic is how I got him it was very superficial and a lot was growing back

Third pic is the healing stage

Fourth and fifth pic is when the female put a number on him

You can see he literally got chunks taking out of him.

I'm sorry in advanced about picture quality lol

Yes I'll keep you guys posted he's stable for now I got him this pretty big tote. He's about 10-12 inches. He seems very active in there compared to the tank he was in. I think his stress level subsided tremendously. I need to grab some salt for him to heal quicker.

He passed away today. Its been healing for 6 months but the female took maybe half an inch to an inch out of his kok.

Warning graphic images

The lip color is from lip locking with the female.
Out of the water after inspecting him I'm surprised he lasted even a day

His name was Bruce aka bruise because of his kok when I got him. It is insane how much meat is missing from this fish
