What a kokster!, however I think you could improve Fish color by feeding him Grand Sumo Red or any other pellets for color improvement.

Thanks guys! He has so much energy and personality. I'm trying to breed him with another Petsmart red dragon. I feed him hikari gold and nls, so I don't think quality of food is the problem. I'll do some more water changes, and see if that helps. :)

Wow that from petsmart? My petsmart always has 3" inchers and they are usually stunning but always females. I keep looking out for a male but always always female and they dont get another till one sells so it can take a while to get a new one. I always check every thursday.

The pellets ur feeding him is great but if ur into nice coloration feed it grand sumo red like what the above said. Be careful, they can really get aggressive if u add another one.

According to my experiences wid my past breeding pair of fhs I would suggest u maximum amount of live food coz excess of artificial feed is not good for breeding pairs.....and also live feed makes them breed ready in no time..:o:o:p
