Hissing sound from water going to sump

Ok i am starting to understand this setup. So essentially there will be no water coming down the emergency lines? There are drip trays so will the single lines in each compartment still flow over all the media?

The emergency drains could have a very slow trickle. You should also check it by closing both main drain valves and the two emergency drains should be able to handle the flow. As for the wet/dry, drip trays should distribute the water evenly thru the media on both sides.

Well your suggestion worked very well. Attached 2 ball valves and tuned them to where I have a minor stream of water in emergency tubes. Works great and is very quiet. Thanks so much for your help. My ears can relax and enjoy the tank now! Always great when a project comes together

That's great! Im glad it worked out for you. Don't forget to test it with the pump off to check if your sump can handle the extra water. Don't want you to have a wet floor. Beautiful tank by the way!
