You have a knack for saying ignorant things. There are no breaks between plays in soccer. There are not massive amounts of pads, either. Also, you "run around and kick a ball" for an an hour and a half.

Oh, and it's not violent? Spoken like someone who's never WATCHED soccer.
 
I've seen some horrific leg breaks in soccer that have made me shudder...
