Wow, that's terrible. I wish I didn't have to take these country roads, but I'm currently living way out in the middle of no where, and the deer seem to be everywhere. And thanks...it used to look betterIn WI there are lots of deer hit by cars. That actually doesn't look all that bad compared to many I've seen over the years. What I think is even more scary,....car driver hit by a deer that's running full tilt, out of a meadow or farmers field, and ran right into the driver side of car! This was a no-win crash, for both deer and driver. Happened about 7 or 8 yrs ago. I don't take the back/country roads during riffle deer hunting season here. *Sorry about your car! Looks like sweeeeet car!
Just seems like everything lately is going from bad to worse. I must have really bad luck lol. I haven't gotten an estimate yet. I'm going to call the insurance company back today to set something up with them. I have a $500 deductible, but I'm hoping it'll work out to where I won't have to pay much, if anything. I'm hoping this will be considered a "no fault" claim, but this has never happened to me before so I'm not sure... I'll find out more today though.oh snap man, i just noticed you said you were laid off 3 days ago! makes this horror story that much worse. have you gone for an estimate yet? insurance covers it right? your insurance would go up though?
kind of makes all these people that are saying it could've been worse look insensitive.
I would leave it, but I can't even open my hood now...I'm glad you still have your face!!! Ya know what I mean... ? and I second the dear was texting.. or looking at another hot dear mamma or something.. ! and screw it, if it didn't do any internal damage as far as functioning goes... just leave it..
Yea, I've heard of this too. I just slammed on my brakes, but not soon enough lol.not to bad of damage on the car. who really gives a crap about the deer, they are damn near plague numbers now. our conservation department issued a statement saying hit the deer instead of trying to swerve out of the way becuase thats kills the people. I think the last study i had seen said that something along the lines of 150,000 people a year are killed by result of trying to avoid deer in the road.
I sure hope mine isn't anywhere near that much money to fix.you got off lucky. Most times it does alot more damage. I hit one with my denali a few years back and it costed 2500

The deer kind of skidded over the top of my hood. He did take a few more steps, but then collapsed on the side of the road and died. I do have insurance. I'm going on Monday to have it appraised and to see how much it's going to cost to fix...i am glad nothing worse happened.. did the deer keep running.. because it does not look like he was hurt badly.. do you have insurance.. even though it is not big damage it looks wide spread.. so probably still costly..
This is actually what happened to me. His head hit the front corner light, chest hit the door and fender, and his ass hit the bedside and caved it in. This deer was a straight monster. It ruined every panel on the driver side of the truck. It's still rolling though! Just with a reconstructed title.. lol
