i am fairly sure my Oscar has hole in the head what do i do to combat hith?

most important thing is to keep the water clean, do daily water changes if you can.

raise water temp, keep water extermly clean, add salt. And if you are feeding feeders like many aquarists them stop that.

I once kept Oscars hence the nick and they too had hith. They were messy fish. Def do not overfeed them, because they are pooping machines.

doesn't matter how much they crap as long as you have sufficent filtration.

Very clean water. Raise temp to btw 84 & 86 degrees, add salt. Don't forget to watch for secondary infections.
