so far I have...

2 sens, african knifefish, african butterfly fish, krib, leopard ctenopoma.

I was gonna go continue on with the African theme... but I can't find anything else to put in it lol. its a 75 gallon tank.

What I really need help with is mid water fish. For the bottom I am gonna get at least 2 more polys (delhezi will be one as soon as I find one, then either a rope fish, albino sen... w/e the hell I can find pretty much that doesnt get huge lol). and I may get a syno cat for the bottom.. maybe. I will probably get one more butterfly fish as soon as petco gets another one in stock.

but I cant think of anythign to put for midwater. I thought abotu just putting more leopard ctenopomas in there lol. getting another type of cten. would be cool but then I would have to order online and that is very expensive. so I am sort of at a cross roads and I am getting impatient.

any thoghts? get a "pack" of leopard ctenopoma? dump the african theme adn just get some midwater fish? if so... what then? aggressive cichlids are out... they would slaughter the ctenopoma. frontosas maybe? maybe put no midwater fish at all?

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

last thing I need is more bottom guys... plus rays are too finicky and get too big and dats do as well.

LOL I've run into the same problem! Looking for african fish to "fill in" my bichir tank, just not a lot of options! I was thinking about a school of congo tetras but they would have to be BIG ones and even then it would be awful risky. Congos are pretty expensive to accidently become feeders :). WIsh I could help you better.

10 dollar feeders are not cool....

A pack of Ctenopomas would be pretty sweet, but would they all get along together?

doubtful as in they wouldnt live in peace. but I would be banking on the aggression being spread out aka like people do with africans.

Actually Ctenopoma in the wild are seen to pack hunt and pack ambush, ive seen a group of 6 hunt tetras in a big tank before cant imagine how cool seeing 10 or 12 in a group would be :)

What about an African pike? Or if thats too extreme what about a shoal of Congo Tetras? They'll certainly cover the mid-level and they look amazing in groups esp. with natural light. That'd keep the african theme going.
