these aren't very recent pics because he is a bit bigger now, I also threw in a pic of 2 of my other favorites, needless to say the bigger 1 ate the baby whale, the worst part about that was that I wasn't home to see it my son flipped out and my wife was in awe she didn't even get a pic of it she said it looked awesom with half the baby whale hanging out of his mouth, they to are much bigger now but not as big as the 1s I've seen here.

Noicely done my man!! Tis a Crenicichla sp. 'belly crawler'...they are from the Reticulatus group of pikes, which are charcterised by their atrophied swimbladder, which is why they don't swim as much. Get about 12" at the max. My male maxed out at 11"...he was beefy. If he starts to get a spot in his dorsal, and a little bit of pink on his belly...he is a she...;)

Cool now I know exactly what he is opps I mean she is , I picked her up from Petland labeled as a spotted pike, I've gone back a few times to get some more but they haven't had them since, in fact that is the only fish I have ever bought from Petland, I couldn't resists
