Watching the news and a story came on that I had heard about earlier. Apparently they're drudging near one of the marinas in Holland, MI (Lake Michigan) and thousands of fish are dying as a result. They're specualting it's because of the detritus stirred up, or "dead spots" in the marina.
My sister's in-laws are going out every other day with shovels and pitchforks to clear out the dead fish piling up in their spots, basically making it someone else's problem, but... from the points of view I've heard, they're really only concerned about the smell about their properites.
I'll try to find a link, but I really don't know if there will be one out there.
