Mine will sit on the bottom once in a while for a few minutes then resume swimming.

Mine sits at the bottom of the tank all the time, it only comes up when im not in the room lol I guess he's scared of me.

our's rests on the overflow tube at the top of the tank sometimes....

aro do rest from time to time from the bottom of the tank, before mine swam mostly upper my tank and now i seen him resting below the tank, its a natural thing, might still be stressed when you fed yours, usually i feed my aro after the day i have made water change to tank, imo helps him settle down

My leichardti did this when it started acting strange. This was followed by frequent escape attempts (jumping) and long periods of time without eating. (Up to 2 months)

I hope this isnt the case with yours though.
