That is a great read! I had no clue....they are awesome looking fish but after reading that article, I will most definitely be staying away from them

ahhh, good to know. definitely not wanting that. that being said, I have never noticed any for sale, though I am sure the Wet Spot in Portland has had them at some point.

I dont think they are that hard to find. Petland around the block frome has them.

So in the end I ended up going with the Giant Danios. So far, I love the color, temperament, movement, pretty much everything. They have already started to show breeding behavior which is fantastic. Thank you all for your suggestions, it really did help!
