i have a fixture with 4 25 watt t5 and a 160 watt hps i wanted to put on a planted tank what size tank would be good for this fixture it is 2 ft long

20 gal planted tank would be good. max size would probably be a 29 gal due to the size of your fixture. But you could do one sweet planted tank with a little bit of planning.

need to get a list of plants i got a old 29 in the garage that needs new silcone ill add it to the list of projects but i wanna jump this one up to close to the top a nice planted tank would look awsome in the dining room what kind of substrate whould i use?

well that was complete over kill of light algea bloom big time just gonna get some flousents hps is way to powerful
