Just ordered an overflow but a few minutes after doing so I realized that the bracing is too large on my 240 to actually hang the overflow on. Any ideas on to whether I can cut a portion of the bracing to fit it? I tried to call up and cancel the order but since I placed it online they can't do anything about it. They will refund my the money for the overflow but I'm still loosing 13$ on shipping costs. :(

Depending on how much room you need, you should get by with trimming the inside lower portion of the plastic trim just enough to fit the filter where you want it. Take measurements first.

What type of overflow is it? Does it have the tubes that connect the inside and outside?
