So i was wondering how many of you have injuries not by monster teeth but rather sliced your hand on a lid, dropped equipment on your foot ect.
I remember seeing a lot of fish bite threads but not a lot of equipment injuries. So share them big or small ;)
I cant be the only one, ill start

Took a chunk out of my hand breaking off a piece of lid from regular black hoods.

And recently and still hurting, i dropped the adapter to compact fluorescent lights on just one toe. The thing was about 3"x4" and weighed a bit more than a baseball.

So lets here em'

My upper arms are perpetually bruised from doing water changes on my tank; it's a 75G on a tall stand and I'm short, so anytime I have to reach my arm into the front openings and down near the bottom of the tank guarantees that I will have bruises.

I bought a used tank and was cleaning up the glass lids. They were in bad shape, but I was going to use them til I had the money to replace them. There was a couple of platic hooks stuck to the top, I was using my fingers to pry it off.

It finally popped off, I jabbed two of my fingers onto the corner of the top, which had been broken so it was jagged. My pointer got a very deep gouge, my middle sliced a good chunk off. I probably should have gone to the hospital as they bled for a couple days, but I was young and dumb. I threw away the lids that night and ordered new ones LOL. Still have the scars about 10 years later.

I fell up the stairs with my 250 gallon on top of me trying to carry it out of a basement when I bought it. Damien and Sonny you guys remember that?

Bassfisher, I wouldn't say "electrocuted" yet. It'd technically mean you died from the electric shock.

Encountered electric shocks myself from touching the aquarium lights but that's it. I've avoided so far getting injuries from the hobby. :headbang2 Does getting allergies from a frog count?lol

Back when I had my 40b I had ordered the wrong versa-top from amazon so I had a lid that was a cm too long so I shaved down a bit of the trim with out making it weak then when I tried to see if the hood would fit I grabbed the wrong way so when i laid it flat the top half fell down and shattered on my hands had it get surgery to remove glass from inside my skin and 10 stitches.

Normally only minor scratches here and there for me when cleaning the tank...

But when was setting up my old paludarium there were definitely quite a few decent cuts on my fingers... Although nothing that required stitches...
