Got word from Brazil. IBAMA has banned more fishing for LEOs exporters can sell what they have in thier tanks but they cannot get new ones. All other rays being exported out of there are still allowed to be exported.

well, that is good news for local breeders, but bad news for the folks wanting to buy as price may increase shortly.
From what i have heard is that IBAMA has stated they will be banning 2 more plecos and they have told all exporters that they are not allowed to get any more leos for exportation. They are only allowed to sell the leos that are in thier facilities. However the rest of the rays are still allowed to be exported based off of quotas...... wither or not that means they are banned or not i am being told they cannot get more until further notice..... I wonder if they had to many people trying to ship out P14s as leos or something else like they did a few years ago and arrested a bunch of people.
