HOLDING BABIES OR EGGS ?????????

They may not have been fertilized. Sometimes it takes a few practice runs for them to spawn successfully.

Otherwise she may have been harassed and spat them.

Or it may only be a few eggs and her pouch is not being pushed down by the eggs, keep an eye on her for a few minutes and you may see that she still has them.

I had a few Sp44 females who looked like they were no longer clutching and and day or two later her pouch was full again, Sometimes she will re-position them in her mouth and they dont take up as much space for a while.

If she is still holding, you can watch her "fluff" the eggs/fry in her mouth every so often to reposition them and keep them oxygenated and free of fungus.

Try dropping some food in the tank. Even if she is still holding, she may still dart at the food, but will not take any in her mouth. Some older mothers/larger fish will eat tiny bits, but not large amounts as they normally do.

shes fluffin still. but this is the first time iv noticed that she mite be pregnant.... shes still not her self. b4 she ran the tank she wuz the boss lady but now shes hiding fluffing the "eggs", my hatchery is fully setup. all the elements are good(no amonia n such), Just need a few plants in there n its ready for my little darlings then.
