I had fungus that ate away my fishes really fast. I bought all sorts of med but none worked and it kept eating away my fishes deeper.

Then I finally told a friend, and he had the problem before. He adviced me on what to do and it worked.

I used pimafix and melafix and I cured my fishes. Some will say those are weak stuff, but whatever. It cured what lots of other meds didnt. I got fungus and parasite and whole in the head meds. Expensive ones too. None worked but pimafix and melafix did the job.

If that's not a wound, I say go get pimafix and melafix asap. Pimafix is the cure. Melafix is the healing aid.

judging by the looks of your water, especially in the second pic, it looks like water conditions could be bumped up a bit, which with oscars is a big thing to keep on top of. a huge issue on keeping that crap off of them..

and the post about the faded bars, typical. oscars are very personable fish and their moods affect their colors greatly.

if it hith then feeding different foods and clean water, he should be brand new in no time...but looks like more of a scratch to me. my O is always trying to nock my hood off, yes..best to add some melafix, keep up wcs and see what happens...but it wouldnt hurt to add more white fish to his diet...stuff like that.
