Most fish, mine included get way to much food. I've gone to feeding 3 day a week for all but grow out tanks.
Holiday related tank anxiety.

I like to think that I do a decent job looking after my fish, but I cannot count on two hands the amount of times I have gone away, leaving them to fend for themselves in their tanks for a week, only to return a week later to find I have a new batch of something. A week holiday from me and on a diet seems to do a world of good to their numbers!
Now that you mention it, I did lose two fish when I took two weeks away but I thought it was due to aggression from breeding. I even sent the dogsitter a photo of how much to feed daily so I think she did ok. Still, for less than 10 days I'll skip feeding entirely next time.
