See, here is one of my dominant male Caquetaia myersi. VERY attractive fish!! LoL!! Absolutely loved them when i had them! Rapps has some right now actually at $125 a pop...not a bad price!!

Thanks for the comments everyone! My goal is to get a pair and try to breed them. For such an attractrive fish they sure are hard to find.

I just checked out Rapp's site. $125 for a 6 inch fish is a little too much for me. That $20 bill in front of the tank in the first picture is all I've got right now lol. My spectabilis were a steal at $7.50 a pop! Of course that doesn't include shipping, but I feel like a got a good price . Now if only I could find myself an umbee....

I don't know where you're at in Washington, but A Place For Pets in Burien has C. myersi for $7.99, I've got two and I think there are about 3 left at 2". They're not wild (F1 I think from a breeder in Vancouver Canada, last I heard) but it definitely beats $125.

They had umbee as well when I was there a month ago, but not this week. Maybe give Kevin a call. Great guy.

Man I love these fish. One of the best parts is feeding them... they pop the surface of the water so hard. I can hear them from the other side of the house. Nice fish!
