most cavities hide and eat the inside of the tooth b4 you even notice.thats why when you do have a cavity they have to drill a bunch of tooth out even the the hole looks small.when you go the dentist and they give you novacaine just tell them you still can feel it so they will give you even more novacaine.then you wont feel anything at all when they drill ya.no big deal really.its just a little drilling.and some filling and you will be outta there.then youll drool on yourself for another 4 hours because you wont be able to feel your face.:eek:This will be a bad time to pick up chicks or go on a job interview........just in case that is your plans:D

Man....so this is really bad then....

****, I'm scared

i had 2 (or 3, cant remember...laughing gas) novicain shots to have an overretained tooth out, i could eat and stuff afterwards and i wasnt drooling

Dude, relax.

I can't help but find this thread funny, whats the WORSE that can happen? Get a filling, get it pulled (which is highly doubt is the case). The dentist is not scary, you get numbed up for a reason, so it doesn't hurt, just some discomfort. Hell, from the time i was 17-19 i had some very small cavities forming on the sides of the 'sealants' or whatever. No novacane used, once and a while i felt the drill hit the nerve and all it is is a chilling sensation.

awww i dread the day i feel a hole in my tooth i've had no dental work at all and i'm soooo scared of the dentist :(

but 1 thing i do have is like have see through tips on my 3 teeth thats been worn away from acid....i eat alot of fruit but i get that enamel tooth paste.

how old are you? i'm 19 and i read that most people have some work in their early 20's not because of anything just because you get older.

So what they say about the brits teeth is true? All kidding aside you are 19 and have never had dental work? Wow...

I guess. I'm just scared b/c the dentist always said I had PERFECT teeth...I am 22, never had any dental work done EVER. That is why this is so scary to me.

It's not that bad, well it was horrible when the novocaine started wearing off a bit... But I think the noise was the worst, not too much pain at all.
Except for the giant needle in my mouth... Hmm.
I don't believe I'm helping.
But you got a free hug anyway.
I'm in the same situation (sort of) though. I was eating pot stickers and bit my fork, I have a lovely hunk of tooth missing in the back now.
I hate my dentist, he is so rough you'd think each of my teeth had done him a personal wrong.

Just get something done before it starts hurting, you'll be fine.
