Hello, I Haven't been on MFK for a while...been somewhat discouraged after loosing some of my favorite fish. :(

Anywho, Im back.

Here is my 15 gallon with

ULTIMATE HAIR ALGEA INFESTATION!

I bet you No one, can top this badass infestation.
3 weeks without scrubbing ornaments and more then 15% water change will do this
to you, so mind your tanks

DIRTY:

(To be honest it kind of looked cool, but not cool enough to sacrifice health of fish)

ABOUT 3 HOURS CLEANING LATER:

Anywho, I heart t3h mfk!

The hair algae does provide great cover for your fish, I bet they don't mind it at all!

:WHOA: you got that much algae after 3 weeks? Holy Crap!

Looks good now though:grinyes:

i liked the look

wow it looks kinda cool to me

how do you grow that much algae? do you keep your light on 24 hours a day? i kinda want that look on one my tanks.

I have no idea, it just comes. As I said, In about 2 days, with turning my light on at about 8 am and off at about 9:30 pm and feeding once daily, I get this.

Im thinking it could possibly be because this tank was used, maybe it was left somewhere in it (if thats even possible)

My tips: Leave light on long, overfeed, dont gravel vac, and your set :screwy:

You could also try some Java Moss, it looks the same and can overrun your tank just as good.

lol.

Any tips on how i could keep it from coming back?

Whoa why do you keep your lights on for so long?

I have java moss and it hasn't taken over the tank yet. There must be something in your water. Maybe you have fertilizer in your water lol.
