HOLY CRAP MAN!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yea, and it was on all the stuff and the bottom, and was actually smelly and disgusting.

I swear it tried to attach to my hand XD

I leave my lights on for that long, because 8 is when I leave the house, and 9:30 is when I shut off the other lights in the room, I dont like to turn off the fish tank lights before I turn off the lights in the room.

If I might make a suggestion, Coralife makes a nice Day/Night timer. Invest in a few LED Moonlights (also made by Coralife) and a Day/Night timer. The Moon lights provide adequate nighttime lighting for viewing and also serve as a good night light for the room. The blue LED simulates the natural environment at night and does not feed the algae. The thread linked in my signature has pics of my tank in both the daytime and night time lighting. In case you're interested.

Thanks everyone.

I actually left the bottom front for the otto's, pleco, and chinese algea eater, others eat a bit too. It's gone now, can't have a completely algea-free tank, that's no good.

My water is fairly hard, though it is softened through 3 filters in the home, it's well water, naturaly chlorine free etc, thats what I use. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I've heard of the Timer light, and I've looked around for one but havent seen any in any lfs, I will buy a few for my tanks if I find them though.
BTW, the Moonlights look badass, haven't seen any of those either, next time I go to Big Al's Ill ask, they got everything there.

Wierd thing is, none of my other 3 tanks have this problem, despite having the same water and light timing, One is planted though, and the other is barebottom.

thanks for all the input.
