1997 was when it was reported to have killed some guys family. It was only just caught. this year.

This what bothers me... the croc isnt placed exactly next to the truck. In fact the truck seems to be a bit futher back than the croc (making the croc appear bigger). If it was a true "monster" I would of lined up that sucker right next to my truck and taken photos of every angle.. it looks just like another one of those camera angle tricks. (depth perception)
Also, it could be that the truck is a small geo tracker sized SUV, and placing it next to a 16ft croc makes it look alot bigger.
And it always seems that the UK's Dailymail is always posting some outlandish articles.. some are probably true and correct on the facts, while others seem misconstrued

I forgot to add, the croc looks super bloated... (probably been dead for a day or two), which might also add some size to it.
The photo is legit and that is nearly the max recorded size for a male salty. The sad part is that he was probably only one of a dozen or so saltwater crocs left in Australia that big. There is big debate over if it was killed in Queensland or the Northern Territory because both states want to claim it.
The worst thing of all is to be at that size that animal probably hatched back around WW1. You have these aborigines talking about how they respect and are in tune with nature but they lose a few cattle and that's it. Doesn't matter that this animal is older than their father's fathers, they kill it and drag it out to rot in the sun. Where is the respect there?
