Holy hell what a night at work

So it was the usual night at work. Hot, busy and stressful until about an hour before were done when we hear (bang) "F***! Take me to the hospital!" As blood is spraying one of our co-workers cuts his thumb off. Was the craziest thing I have seen in a loooong time.

We do rotational molding and out work is kinda dangerous if your not careful. He did not undo the clamps on the mold properly and the tension on the cranes chain was enough that is snapped the lip up and his thumb got caught and cut it off at the base of the knuckle. It must have not been to bad as we walked him to the car to be taken to the e.r. room that he light up a cigarette lol. Oh what a night.

It did not take long before the puns hit. I was in shock so much I started laughing due to the sight I just saw....I would not make a good soldier lol
 
I had to stay and work but the maintenance man took him. His thumb was still in the glove and we just kinda, handed it over to him lol. Since it did not take the whole thumb I don't think they will re attach it. Idk though. We will see in due time. If it doesn't he has an awesome nic name.
 
Yeah the shock factor of what happened was pretty intense. I have seen things on the net that makes most cringe but seeing it in person was something on a whole new level.
 
I probably would have laughed too.
 
Thats why you have to be careful and check everything at work
 
Well He came back to work to say hi. His thumb up to his knuckle was tore off with just the bone sticking out. He got re constructive surgery and wont be back for quite some time. He is mostly mad because he can't smoke lol.
