Holy smokes - 6 foot RTC in Amsterdam!

yes they will, I have a 2 foot RTC in a 1000G tank with oscars , pacu and some red devils. he constantly swims around with all sorts of Rocks hanging out of his mouth. He's become very very agressive now, i'm looking for a good home for him, if anyone is interested.
 
yea thats probably the world record. no1 actually has a 4ft rtc in a home aquarium unless they're millionaires or something. lol that thing can eat children.
 
damn right it will eat kids. mine is half that size, and it grabs hold with serious strength. sometimes i fear for the cats in the house. A little to close and see ya later.
 
You guys should see the ones in the Pittsburgh Zoo. there are a number of them all that size. Some giant Nigers around the same size too. Huge Pacus too. Ill try to get pics.

I'll be sure to stop by in Pittsburg next time I get the chance.... but I somehow doubt that they are that big...I'd love to see one that size though :drool:
 
I dont know exact size but they are the biggest iv ever seen. The Pittsburgh Zoo had a Beluga Whale that died a few years ago and they turned it into an amazon exibit. Its pretty impressive.

They have a volunteer scuba diving program to help with in-tank maintenance. I am going to give it a shot. Ill try to get a good measurment.
