I submitted this picture to POTM (i know it's a longshot). I thought it was funny because my dat thought the new orange pike could be food. they are the same length and I'm having a real hard time finding the pike now. Joke's on me. Hopefully he's in there, but after 20 minutes of looking, I cant find him in my 125 planted tank.

that's weird look harder or on the floor behind the tank ( if up aganist the wall). he may be really trying to stay clear of the dat , what size is the dat and pike?? :D

if the dat swallowed the pike I think you would notice it . you mite have a porky dat or a dead dat ...if the pike was the same length as the dat... :D
 
both are about 4 inches... I looked all over the floor, my tank is well covered. I covered up the gaps between filters and CO2 and such.

if your tank is heavy planted he's in there ,if not on the floor bro... does your dat have a fish hanging out his mouth because I doubt he could swallow it all at once .. :D
 
good luck finding him, check around youd be suprised, I have had fish go missing on me for weeks, Id tare my tank apart looking for them and then all the sudden I find them again. Fish are crazy little suckers!
 
woke up this morning and there he was, swimming a bit more confidently now. Maybe he lashed out at the dats. thanks, I must've been on my hands and knees lookin under the tank for 15 minutes... cant wait til he grows up, then I'm sure I'll have no problems finding him
 
LOL yah its something you gotta get used to I thought my Ram went missing and I thought my fish killed it and then 4 days later there it is again. Same thing happened with to plecos and my catfish!! :screwy:
